What Is Renewable Energy – Overview
What Is Renewable Energy. Renewable energy is very exciting. What is renewable energy that we can use are coming from different things including the wind, the sunlight and even things we commonly view as trash. The fact of these types of renewable energy won’t ever run out, it means we don’t have to be so careful about how much of them we use. Another wonderful benefit is that these renewable energy types don’t result in negative things occurring into the environment.
Beside “What Is Renewable Energy” The cost of renewable energy is depends on what you are doing and on how large of a scale. It is very important to understand that the renewable energy is an investment that will pay for itself over the course of time. The money that you pay for the renewable energy materials will be paid back as you save money on the use of electricity each month.
The type of renewable energy you would like to use depends on what your environment is like. If you are in parts of the world where the sun shines most days, the use of solar energy is a good idea. It involves placing solar panels in order to collect the energy as the sun shines down on it. If you live in open areas where the wind often blows, converting it into energy is another choice that you can consider.
What Is Renewable Energy – There are many types or renewable energy available all around the world.
1. Hydro energy
The power that utilized flowing water to create electricity called Hydro power.
2. Bio energy
The energy that is created from plants or grains that can be replenished and replanted known as bio energy. The example of using bio energy is ethanol.
3. Wind energy
Wind energy was probably the first type of renewable and natural energy that was used to provide power. Wind energy is mainly used for supplying electricity locally like on and around wind farms. Although wind energy is not yet widely used in the United States, but the United States is third on the list of countries that have the most capacity to produce wind energy. There is a limit to how much energy wind can produce since wind can’t be grown like the crops that are used for bio energy, and wind is not as constant as the water used to create geothermal or hydro energy.
4. Geothermal energy
The power which comes from using the natural heat from deep inside the earth is Geothermal power. It is less than 1% of all the electricity produced in the United States is generated from geothermal energy, but the United States is the biggest user of geothermal energy for electricity in the world.
5. Solar energy
Solar energy is using the energy generated by the sun for things like heating and electricity. Now it is used mainly to create electricity and create heat.
There are two ways using solar energy to generate electricity. The using of the Photovoltaic is the first method. The sun’s energy is collected and converted into electricity by using a collection of cells made of certain materials. Another way is using solar power plants. These huge plants indirectly create electricity by using sunlight.
