Pros And Cons Of Solar Energy. As one of energy form, solar energy uses the power of sun to produce energy. As long as the sun does, this renewable energy will exist. This energy does not produce any pollutants that harmful to the environment, because of that the solar energy also considered as a clean energy.

Solar energy can be classified as active and passive solar. They produce solar energy in different ways. The active solar panel uses the solar panels that will convert sunlight to electricity. The passive solar produces solar energy without panel system or other moving mechanism such as solar water heater and solar air heater.

The solar energy is converted several ways for many purposes. The sun’s thermal energy is used by solar thermal system to heat water and air. Meanwhile, the sun’s energy is used by photovoltaic to excite electron in solar cells and convert it into electricity.

Pros Of Solar Energy :

1-The solar energy is free since it comes from the sun, does not cause any pollution and harm the environment. There is no side effect and bad waste since it is natural produced. Because of that, this renewable energy are so great, reliable, efficient, all natural and the solar energy is one of the best ways to if you are trying to help out the environment.

2- You will be able to generate electricity anywhere you go with the use of a solar panel. This means you still be able to get electricity even when you go outside.

3- Wind energy, another type of the alternative energy sources can be very loud. Meanwhile, the solar panels really stay quiet.

4- Compare with laying down solar panels which is easy to do, laying down high voltage wires can become hard to do and a bit pricey.

5- When you use solar energy, you will become less dependent on non-renewable energy such as fossil fuel.

6- When you are looking to save some space, you can put solar panel at the top of your roof.

Cons of Solar Energy :

1-The basic cost of installing a solar panel system is expensive. It will take a time to get back the amount you paid for it.

2- You will not be able to generate electricity during the night due to the lack of sunlight. Another down side is that you will not be able to get enough electricity during unpleasant weather conditions.

3- The amount of electricity the solar panel will produce also influence by air pollution. The air pollution causes the suns rays will be blocked, and then you will not be able to generate max electricity as well.

4- Another cons of solar energy is location. Solar panels have to be installed in the area where it can get enough sunlight so it can be used to generate electricity, heat water, air and other purpose.

As there are no power will be produced at night time, solar panels can be affected by clouds, trees, fog, and pollution. For these, you could store the excess of this energy with the battery storage system.
